Classes & Schedule:

Every Tuesday & Thursday Evening:

- At the best prices in Truro, we train together side by side.
- We build confidence through consistent practice, mutual support, and the real-world challenge of diverse training partners.
- We foster growth by integrating all skill levels in every session, allowing abilities to develop organically and collaboratively.
- We strengthen our community by showing up together week after week with commitment, care, and camaraderie.

Club Fees:

  • Monthly Membership Fee: Only reoccurring fee. Helps cover the club's hall rental and gear maintenance.
  • Shirt and Gi: Required for training, as street clothing is not well suited to the durability required for training. Gi can be ordered by the club, or personally.

  • Belts: Each grading a new belt will be ordered for you; this fee is the cost of the belt/ shipping.
  • Sparring Gear: Required once you reach intermediate level. We look for the best balance of protection and cost to keep this expense minimal. Can be ordered by the club or personally.

What Makes Us Unique?

As a small, member-driven martial arts & self-defence club in Nova Scotia, our fees go directly toward hall rental and gear maintenance. We’re not a business enterprise, and we don’t operate for profit. Fees are just to sustain meaningful training and shared purpose.

We offer the most affordable karate and self-defence classes in town because we believe martial arts should be accessible to everyone. And because training is better when shared, we offer a limited number of referral discounts. It’s our way of growing a stronger, more connected club while keeping training open to more people.

Required Attire & Equipment:

  • Uniform and Gear: Students are required to have a solid-coloured Gi and their own sparring gear.

  • Under Gi Jacket: A club shirt or a plain t-shirt must be worn under the Gi jacket, as well as when the Gi jacket is not required.

  • Temporary Attire: Until a proper uniform is obtained, appropriate athletic clothing may be worn.

  • Sparring gear: Shin pads and hand guards; required at intermediate level
  • Water bottle: Students are strongly advised to bring a water bottle with them to classes
  • Avoid:

    • Jewellery of any kind, to ensure safety and prevent injuries
