DRESS CODE:

Full-Gi Training

  • Uniform and Gear: Students are required to have a solid-coloured uniform and their own sparring gear.

  • Under Gi Jacket: A club shirt or a plain t-shirt must be worn under the gi jacket, as well as when the gi jacket is not required.

  • Temporary Attire: Until a proper uniform is obtained, appropriate athletic clothing may be worn.

  • Avoid:

    • Jewellery of any kind, to ensure safety and prevent injuries

No-Gi Training

  • Dress Code: Everyday-style clothing that is both safe and appropriate for martial arts practice. Martial arts shoes or clean non-marking sneakers.
  • Suggested Attire: Jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, or other casual clothing typical of real-world outfits. This allows students to understand how their clothing can influence body mechanics during self-defense situations.

  • Avoid:

    • Clothing with sharp or dangling accessories (e.g., spikes, chains)

    • Jewellery of any kind

    • Flimsy or revealing garments that may tear or shift excessively, potentially leading to accidental exposure during sparring

    • Heavy, loose, high-heeled or platformed footwear
